Tur chok kystyg Saryglarar	because of the beauty of Saryglarlar maidens
Chorumaldar chortup ertter	travellers slow down
Choogalyg Shangyr	by the Shangyr place.
Chortkan ulus saadadyyr	They are slowed down
Charash kystyg Sarylarlar	by the beauty of Sarylarlar maidens.
Kaigal ulus kaigab ertter	Noble bandits at the amazing Khovuzhuk place.

that nothing happens to them quite like what happens to us

when the blue-backed swallow dips swiftly toward the green pond

and the pond’s green-and-blue reflected swallow marries it a moment

in the reflected sky

Although a day alone cuts tight or lies
too limp sometimes, I know what I didn’t know
a year ago, that makes it the right size:
owned certainty; perpetual surprise.
