it is perhaps also true
that nothing happens to them quite like what happens to us

| Toda pele é preta | All skin is black |
| Todo mundo canta | Everybody sings |
| Todo céu magenta | All magenta sky |
| Toda sexta-feira todo canto é santo | Every Friday every song is holy. |
| E toda conta | And every account |
| Toda gota | Every drop |
| Toda onda | Every wave |
| Toda moça | Every girl |
| Toda renda | All income |
| Toda sexta-feira | Every Friday |
| Todo o mundo é baiano junto | Everyone is from Bahia together |

| Tira esses olhos de mim, não faz assim que nem Kalu | Take those eyes off me, do not even Kalu |
| Que não nos deixa esquecer, prosseguir | That does not let us forget, to continue |
| Tira esses olhos de mim, esqueço dessa sua ausência | Take those eyes off me, I forget about your absence. |
| Que lembra em nosso dia-a-dia da falta que faz sonhar | That reminds us in our daily life of the lack that makes us dream |
| Decidi, sabendo bem o mal que faz | Decided, knowing well the evil that does |
| A tônica e as resultantes disso tudo | The tone and the result of it all |
| Escolho assim, ficar um pouco aqui quietinho | I choose this way, to stay here a little |
| Tentado, mas vai ser melhor, bem melhor | Tempted but it will be better, much better |
